Biography
biography Virgul is a Portuguese singer known for his long career, he recorded some albums with Da Weasel such as “Dou-lhe com a Alma” (1995), “3º Árvore” (1997), “Iniciação a Uma Vida Banal – O Manual” (1999), “Podes fugi Mas Não te Podes Esconder” (2001) and the mega-hits “Re-Definições” (2004) and “Amor, Escárnio e Curse” (2007). After Da Weasel, he led the band Nu Soul Family with whom he recorded “Never Too Late to Dance” (2010) and “Unconditional Love” (2012) and won the Best Portuguese Act of 2010 at the MTV Europe Music Awards with the band. In 2019 and 2020, Virgul released a series of songs that reflect his natural good disposition, with music with a positive message. His second solo album, called “Jubilo”, was produced by the collective Red Mojo and resulted from a collaboration with Ben and Alex, the two creative minds of D’Alva with whom Virgul wrote all the new material. The album also featured guest appearances by Sam The Kid, Dino D’Santiago and Jon Luz.
