biography Agir is one of the most popular names in Portuguese pop music today. His real name is Bernardo Correia Ribeiro de Carvalho Costa and he was born in Lisbon, on March 18, 1988. He is the son of singer Paulo de Carvalho and actress Helena Isabel. Agir began his musical career very early, at the age of 12, when he recorded his first songs and made them available for free on YouTube. In 2007, he participated in the RTP da Canção Festival with the TribUrbana project and in 2008 he collaborated with his father on the album Do Amor. His first solo album, titled Agir, was released in 2010 and was influenced by dancehall, hip hop, house and soul. The album sold out in some stores in just two days and received positive reviews from the specialized press. In 2013, Agir released the EP Alma Gémea - The Soul Sessions Experience, which showed his soulful side. In 2014, he released the mixtape #AGiRISCOMING, which included the hits Quando Não Estás, Deixa-te de Merdas (with Regula) and Esconder (with Jimmy P). His second album, Leva-me a Sério, came out in 2015 and was a huge commercial and public success.
