Fausto Dias

biography Fausto Bordalo Dias, also known as Fausto, is a Portuguese composer and singer. He was born on November 26, 1948, aboard the ship Pátria, on a trip between Portugal and Angola, but was registered in Vila Franca das Naves, Trancoso. He formed his first band "Os Rebeldes", in Angola. At the age of 20, he moved to Lisbon to continue his studies and graduated in Political and Social Sciences at the Instituto Superior de Ciências Sociais e Política Ultramarina. In 1969, he released his first EP, "Fausto", with which he won the Rádio Renascença Revelation Award. Fausto Bordalo Dias is an important name in Portuguese music and popular music in particular. His work has been revisited by names such as Mafalda Arnauth, Né Ladeiras, Pedro Moutinho, Teresa Salgueiro, Cristina Branco, Marco Oliveira and Ana Moura.
