Biography
biography Edmazia Mayembe is the artistic name of Edmazia Dinis Mayembe, born on June 1, 1990 in Luanda. Daughter of Dennis Mayembe and Ana Maria Alberto Pereira. Edmazia started singing at a very young age, at the age of eight she was part of the group formed by her older sister Nádia Mayembe and João Bambila. Throughout his childhood, Edmazia was part of the group and always worked in the Pentecostal Church located in Chicala. The group ended and Edmazia continued her studies and that was when she met Mário Rui, a guitarist who had a band and through him, she was introduced to the musician Totó and the Géneses, together they formed a project recording an album entitled (Firmes). During all this time, Edmazia got to know more musicians and thus made numerous appearances with musicians such as Kalibrados, Cage One, Heavy C. Edmazia was part of the producer of musician Anselmo Ralph (Bom Som), together they worked on his first album, but unfortunately it was not possible to complete it. After leaving the Bom Som production company, Edmazia continued his projects with “Punidor", which he later joined the musician and producer Heavy C, who worked on the production of his first album entitled Erro Bom, an album sponsored by businessman Leonel Piedade C.E.O of the LP production company. Emazia has already won several important awards, namely Best Female Voice and Best Ballad (Top Rádio Luanda), and Best Female Voice at Moda Luanda. Some of Edmazia Mayembe's most popular songs include "Segredo", "Paciência (feat. Edmázia Mayembe)", "Beijinho no Ombro", "Alma Nua", "Chega de Fingir", "Se Eu Soubesse", "Mario", "Amor Yame" and "Meu Herói".
